Uniform Next Week

Children have the option of wearing a Christmas Jumper instead of their school jumper/cardigan next week. This doesn't mean non-uniform though. 

Class Creations - Monday

Just a reminder that class creations will be available to buy after school on Monday. All classes will have extra items available, so please have a look around.   

Class Christmas Parties

Children can bring a change of clothes for their class Christmas Party next week. They will need to wear uniform as normal. Children can also bring in party food on the day, but this must be NUT free.

PTA Bauble Competition

Congratulations to the winners of the PTA Bauble competition. They will get to enjoy a hot chocolate with Miss Jepson next week.

Reindeer Run

EYFS to Year 2

On Friday 19th December, our youngest pupils will round off the year with a magical Reindeer Run in school. This fun and festive event is a wonderful way to raise money for Rotherham Hospice. Children will take part in a sponsored walk or run—big or small—while proudly wearing their very own reindeer antlers. Each child will bring home a sponsorship form. Once completed, they will receive a special certificate to celebrate their achievement and generosity. It’s a joyful opportunity for our pupils to support their local hospice while spreading Christmas cheer.

Elf Dash – Year 3 to Year 6 On Friday 19th December, our older pupils will take part in an exciting Elf Dash to raise funds for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. Every child taking part will receive their own Elf Help Pack, which includes:

A festive elf hat

An elf-themed wordsearch

An elf name sticker

A sponsorship form to help raise funds .

The Elf Dash is a brilliant way for pupils to get active, express their creativity, and make a real difference for a local charity

Christmas @ Ravenfield Primary Academy

Attached are our Christmas events during December. We have plenty for children and families to look forward to. What a wonderful turn out we have had for our school performances this week. The children have really enjoyed performing for families, so thank you to all of you who were able to attend.

The Reytons - Live at Wembley Stadium

Tilly in Year 2 performed on stage at Wembley Stadium with The Reytons last week. You can watch it here on Youtube. What an amazing experience. Well done Tilly. 

Sickness & Diarrhoea

We continue to have students ill with the sickness bug. We follow HSC Public Health Agency guidance which states children should be kept off school for 48 hours from the last episode of either. If your child does have any sickness & diarrhoea, then we ask you to follow these guidelines and contact school as normal to report their absence. If your child is sent home from school, then this guidance will also apply.

Sports Events

Here is the current list of all sports events for the rest of the year. All children in the appropriate year groups will have an opportunity to sign up for the various events. The selection process will be fair, and we will monitor who has been chosen for which event throughout the year. As always, dates and events are subject to change by the hosts. 

 

Christmas Football Camp

We are excited to announce that we will be running a Christmas Football camp in collaboration between Maltby Learning Trust and Soccer Stars Development! The camp will take place on Monday 22^nd December and will run from 9:30am-2:45pm.

We will look to split the day between a mixture of FUTSAL in the sports hall and football on the astroturf (weather permitting!). The camp itself will be £20 for the day. However, a 25% discount will be available for all Maltby Learning Trust pupils!

The camp will be run by Will, who currently works on the Football Scholarship and Primary FUTSAL scholarships ran at Maltby Academy.

Spaces are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Wraparound Care

 The fun Hub will be introducing some shorter 'taster' sessions for after school club.  They will be on a Wednesday and Friday from 10th September.  Each session will start at 3.15pm and end at 4.45pm, with a cost of £7.50. This must be booked through the Class4kids app.  If you have any questions, please drop us an email - enquires@funhubactivities.co.uk or pop in to see Cat at breakfast club each morning.

Are on the lookout for boys and girls aged 7 and above to try flag football (a non-contact version of American Football). See more below
