Attendance Matters

At our Academy and under the guidance of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, we emphasise the importance of regular school attendance to support your child's educational progress and future prospects. We urge all parents/carers to work collaboratively with the Academy and the Local Authority to ensure the best possible outcomes for their children's education.

  • Reminder: We Are a Nut‑Free School

To help keep all children and staff safe, please remember that our school is strictly nut‑free. Any food items found in lunchboxes that contain nuts will need to be removed.

We also ask parents to be mindful of other items placed in lunchboxes. Please ensure that anything with sharp or potentially unsafe components—such as skewers, cocktail sticks, or similar items—is removed before sending lunches into school.

Thank you very much for your continued support and cooperation.

#WakeUpWednesday -Mental Health Misinformation

"More children and young people are turning to platforms like TikTok and Instagram for mental health advice — but much of what they see is unverified, oversimplified, or even misleading. Viral trends and clinical terms used incorrectly can easily distort their understanding of mental health.

This latest guide helps parents and educators navigate this growing issue. It includes expert advice on:
• Encouraging open, honest conversations
• Finding reliable, trustworthy sources
• Strengthening school–home support
• Building critical thinking and confidence in seeking professional help when needed.

Supporting young people starts with understanding what they’re seeing online — and helping them separate facts from misinformation."

  • Wake Up Wednesday

AI is becoming a familiar part of young people’s online experiences, with a growing number of school tools and entertainment platforms now using it 🤖✨. This #WakeUpWednesday guide breaks down what AI really is, helping adults explain it clearly and realistically so children don’t overestimate its abilities or trust it unquestioningly.

With Safer Internet Day coming up on 10th February, it’s the perfect moment to start meaningful conversations about how AI systems work, where they appear online, and why understanding them matters for safe, confident digital use."
