WOW & Attendance Winners
Congratulations to all of our winners this week!

Attendance Matters

At our Academy and under the guidance of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, we emphasise the importance of regular school attendance to support your child's educational progress and future prospects. We urge all parents/carers to work collaboratively with the Academy and the Local Authority to ensure the best possible outcomes for their children's education.
Please refer to the following page on our school website

Please note we have 4 Subject in the Spotlight/Stay and Learn events this half term:

It will start with a presentation from Miss Chantler (Science Lead) followed by an opportunity to see Science in action. For our Y2 families, it is also a more formal opportunity to meet Mrs Barber (new Y2 teacher).
-
6th February – Maths – 8:45 - 10am - NSPCC Number Day – Stay and Learn event. Parents will sign in the hall and then join the child in class to complete maths themed activities.

Activkids UK
Our school is excited to announce a special fundraising event taking place on 30th January. Children will have the fantastic opportunity to take part in a fun fitness circuit led by Lioness Jess Clarke, followed by an inspiring assembly with a question-and-answer session. To support the event, your child will be bringing home a sponsorship form today or on Friday. We look forward to a brilliant day that will motivate and encourage all our pupils!
Sickness & Diarrhoea
We continue to have students ill with the sickness bug. We follow HSC Public Health Agency guidance which states children should be kept off school for 48 hours from the last episode of either. If your child does have any sickness & diarrhoea, then we ask you to follow these guidelines and contact school as normal to report their absence. If your child is sent home from school, then this guidance will also apply.
PE
Please find the PE timetable for this half term.

Online Safety
This #WakeUpWednesday edition offers clear, supportive guidance to help parents and educators feel more confident in navigating the online world with children and young people. It looks at how everyday conversations, simple boundaries, and a bit of digital awareness can make a real difference to young people’s online experiences. This guide also explores how parents and educators can create an environment where children feel comfortable asking for help when something online unsettles them. By highlighting the importance of safe and healthy internet usage, these tips provide a grounded starting point for anyone supporting young people’s digital lives.
You can see more in the documents below.
Sports Events
Here is the current list of all sports events for the rest of the year. All children in the appropriate year groups will have an opportunity to sign up for the various events. The selection process will be fair, and we will monitor who has been chosen for which event throughout the year. As always, dates and events are subject to change by the hosts.
