Recognising and Managing Stress Guide

"A practical guide offering 10 proven techniques to help children and young people recognise, understand and manage stress – teaching them build resilience and maintain emotional wellbeing. Stress is something we all experience – but for children and young people, it can feel especially overwhelming. This guide presents 10 simple, actionable strategies to help young people manage stress in a healthy and balanced manner. Whether it’s noticing early signs, encouraging open conversations, or modelling calm responses, there are plenty of ideas here to support positive change.

Find the guide in the documents below.

Parent Support

See below the attached Group chats Parent guide- This guide explores the risks that group chats can pose for children - including peer pressure, inappropriate content and exclusion - and offers practical tips to help keep them safe. Group chats are a hugely popular way for children to stay in touch with their friends, whether via messaging apps, social platforms or games. These online groups can help them feel connected, strengthen relationships and encourage creativity – but they also come with certain risks. From teasing and exclusion to privacy worries and inappropriate content, children can experience a wide range of challenges in group chats. This guide helps parents and educators recognise the signs of trouble and offers simple ways to support children in using group chats safely and respectfully.
